Maggie Ree Gavin was born on a special day February 18, 1950 to Frank Boswell Sr. and Eliza Boswell.
Maggie graduated from Noxubee County School District and later attended East Mississippi Community College to further her education. She worked as an assembly line worker at United Technologies Motor System for 30 years.
Maggie united in holy matrimony to Jimmie Lee Gavin Sr. in December 1972 and to this union two children were born Jimmie Lee Gavin Jr. and Lashekia Renae Gavin. God blessed this union of 51 years until her death.
Maggie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Baldwin United Methodist Church in Brooksville, MS. She lived a joyful life being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a sweet and loving person who never met a stranger. Maggie loved her family and was always concerned about helping others. She was loved by many.
Maggie Gavin departed this life on October 23, 2023 at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents the late Frank and Eliza Boswell; three sisters, Mary Robinson, Betty Jean White, and Kellie Boswell, and two brothers, Frank Boswell Jr. and Earnst Boswell.
She leaves to cherish her love, life, and legacy: her husband, Jimmie Gavin Sr. of Brooksville, MS; devoted children, Jimmie Gavin Jr. and Lashekia Gavin of Brooksville, MS; three grandchildren (special daughter) Zakeia (Yusuf) Karriem of Columbus, MS, Ramoan Jackson Jr. and Jasmine Gavin of Brooksville, MS; three sisters, Ann Sales of Chicago, IL, Mildred Robinson and Constance Duck of Brooksville, MS; three brothers, Cleotho (Barbara) Boswell of Brooksville, MS, Willie Boswell of Columbus, MS, and David (Cheryl Ann) Boswell of Brooksville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Maggie had a host of special sons and daughters she took under her wings until her death.
