Obituary

Malcom Franklin Campbell, was born to the late Gradiola Campbell and Malcom Cochran on July 28, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL. Malcom accepted Christ at an early age. He was formerly educated in East St. Louis School District 189.  He graduated from Lincoln High School Class of 1968 . He later attended State Community College.  Malcom worked as a certified nurse and ward clerk for Jefferson Barak s Veteran's Hospital up until his retirement in March 2013.

Malcom's favorite things to engage in were cooking, listening to music, and watching action movies.  He had such a love for jazz music.  Malcom once played saxophone for the Young Disciples Band.  Malcom had a great sense of humor and a very charismatic smile.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Malcom was preceded in death by both his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Earnestine Campbell of Columbus, MS; a daughter, Rukiya Crawford (Kirby), of Champaign, IL; a son Keith Harris (Shara) of East St. Louis, IL; two sisters, Sharon Miller (Danny); Brenda Russell, both of Belleville, IL; two brothers, Nolan Campbell (Dorothy) of California; and Marvin Cochran (Vivian) of St. Louis, MO; five grand children, Titus, Ariel, Brandon, all of Champaign, IL;  Kamiyah Har ris,  of Columbus, MS and Kemoriah Harris of Collinsville, IL.  He also leaves to cherish his memory great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin's friends and family.  A special mention of his sisters-in-law  who have been by his and Earnestine's side through it all.
