Obituary

Marcus Earl Liddell was born in Louisville, MS on October 3, 1956, to Evaniel and Annie Mae Liddell. At an early age, Marcus accepted Christ and joined Willow Grove Baptist Church. His strong religious beliefs come from lessons learned in Sunday School and lessons from parents and grandparents. Marcus was a 1974 graduate of Noxubee County High School, and a long-time resident of Noxubee County, MS.

Marcus recently retired as maintenance supervisor at Eastbrook Apartments in Columbus, MS. Previously, he was the maintenance manager for Cedar Heights Apartments and construction supervisor for United Management Systems, a self-help housing company. Marcus also worked in road maintenance for Noxubee County, District 4.  Because of his education and self-determination, he self-trained in mechanical, construction, and bookkeeping. He enjoyed outdoor grilling, cooking desserts, driving his car, and creating memories with family and friends.

Marcus Earl Liddell departed this life on November 12, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Harvey Liddell and Spencer Donaldson; and his deceased grandson, Dontavious Peoples.
