Obituary

Mary "Dell" was born in Columbus, MS on March 28, 1954 to the proud parents of Betty and L.A. Eddins, Sr.

Mary went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, L.A. Eddins, Sr.; her two brothers, L.A. Eddins, Jr. and Terry Lash; and a sister-n-law, Kim Washington.

Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church. She later reunited with Bibleway Progressive COGIC where she served faithfully in the usher ministry. She was educated in the Columbus Public Schools.  Mary "Dell" was employed for a number of years with Baucom Janitorial Services providing care to various schools in the area. Mary loved her family, giving and caring for other people. She loved traveling and shopping.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Lorenzo (Sonya) Witherspoon and Victor Lee both of Porter, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandsons; and one grand- daughter. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her mother, Betty Eddins; three brothers, Johnnie Witherspoon, Sr. of Spokane, WA, David Weatherspoon, Sr. of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Nathaniel Weatherspoon of Columbus, MS; one sister, Wanda Weatherspoon of Columbus, MS; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
