Michaela Dionne Davis entered this life on August 16, 2001 in Columbus, MS to LaShondra Gordon Chamberlain and Michael Davis, Sr.
Michaela grew up in Columbus, MS. As a child, she enjoyed dancing and shopping. She attended the Columbus City Schools. While attending Columbus High School, she was member of the Columbus High Color Guard. This past year, she attended Caledonia High School where she continued to spread her love amongst peers and teachers. She was also a member of the Color Guard at Caledonia High School as well. She was a very active young lady, staying involved in as many activities as possible. Michaela was a member of Kingdom Vision International Church under the leadership of Bishop R.J. Matthews, Sr. Her ministries in church included being an armor bearer for the Prophetess Cycelia Matthews and the Dance Ministry. Her passion for dancing was used to minister to many lives. She often praise danced to her favorite gospel artists, Jaekalyn Carr and Tasha Cobb. Her ministry was truly a gift, teaching the younger children how to spread God's word liturgically. Her ministry of dance will forever be remembered by her church family.
On September 27, 2018, Michaela's earthly life was completed. She will forever be remembered by family, friends, church family, students, teachers, and all who were blessed by her beautiful spirit.
Michaela is preceded in death by her grandparents: Lenroy Thomas and Fannie Johnson; uncle, Erastus Abraham Thomas.
Michaela leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, LaShondra (Jermaine) Chamberlain; father, Michael Davis, Sr.; her sisters and brothers, Jalyn Gordon, Jeffrey Gordon, Michael Davis, Jr., Nicole Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Damian Johnson all of Columbus, MS, Antonio Johnson of Arlington, TX, Tamila Smith of Atlanta, GA; God-sisters, Kierra Hill, Raven Parson, and Halle Lewis all of Columbus, MS; grandparents, Marilyn Gordon Jeffries and Johnny Davis, Jr. both of Columbus, MS; a special grandmother, Catherine Hutchinson; two aunts, Koekland Thomas of Kennesaw, GA and Kimberly (John) Sanders of Columbus, MS; uncle, Harry Johnson of Columbus, MS. She also leaves a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
