Mike Sturdivant Webber, Jr. was born on September 01, 1943 to Sturdivant and Estella Webber in Columbus, Mississippi. He graduated from Motley Elementary and attended R.E. Hunt High school in Columbus, Mississippi.  Mike confessed to Christ later in life at the age of 77 at his family home church, St. John Missionary Baptist where he became a faithful member.

Mike had a zest for life. He was a fun loving jokester who surrounded himself with family and friends. He often engaged in vigorous debates about family history. Though Mike loved his entire family dearly, his passion was his grandchildren.

Mike was employed at the US Sugar Mill  in Clewiston, Florida during his early years. He was an accomplished painter and carpenter, many family members were the beneficiaries of his excellent work. He gave new meaning to 'Tending His Garden', which he shared with family, friends and his community. He also loved fishing, playing pool and his old faithful guitar. His favorite music was blues and gospel.

On August 29, 2022, Mike departed this life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sturdivant and Estella Webber; two brothers, Adolph Webber and John L. Harris; a sister, Lula Mae Jones.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters: Teresa Carr, Beverly Carr and Arenta Denise Washington; a son: Mike Sturdivant Washington; stepchildren, Marzette C. Lowe, K. James Washington and ten other stepchildren, twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; his children's mothers, Eddie Jean Washington and Edna Carr; five sisters, Annie B. Fenton, (Jim B.), Oaker Ree Webber, Margie Ree McNeil, Dorthy Jean Jones and Georgia Mae Fair; three brothers: James Earl Webber, LaRoy Webber, Larry Joel Webber and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
