Nancy Ann
Kyles
April 2, 1948 – April 3, 2025
Mrs. Nancy Ann Kyles, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital at the age of 77. Born Nancy Ann Amos on April 2, 1948, to the late Ida Mae Amos Porter and Tom Porter. She was a cherished member of the Columbus community and a graduate of R.E. Hunt Class of 1966.
A dedicated employee at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital for over 30 years, Nancy's passion for caring extended beyond her job; she was known for her kindness and selflessness in all aspects of her life. Nancy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of St. Matthews M.B. Church and occasionally attended Stephen Chapel M.B. Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and shared her love for Christ.
Nancy's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, caring mother, kind grandmother, and beautiful friend, but above all, she was a child of God. The way she loved and cared for people was unlike anything you'd ever witnessed. She loved to cook, do crossword puzzles, and Bingo had become her favorite pastime activity. She was loved and adored by many, and she will be missed dearly. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who know her and will forever live in our hearts.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Vonder "Doc" Kyles; her son, Vonda (Kylesola) Kyles of Columbus; daughters Pamela Kyles and Sandra Kyles of Columbus, Debra Kyles of Birmingham, AL; her cherished grand- children, Tyrekus Brooks, Tatiana Mariah Ann Kyles, Stanley Baker, Jr., and Marcus Kyles; and beloved brother, Sammy Porter. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ida Mae Amos Porter and Tom Porter; her brothers, Rodney Amos and Tommy T. Amos, sisters, Charity Lee, Shirley Porter, Ruby Harrison, Ida Frances, Davis, Lula Latham, and Carolyn Jones. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces and nephews and other family members near and far.
A very special thanks to Pamela Kyles, the oldest daughter. Pam, you cared for our mother from the beginning to the very end. You were at the nursing home EVERYDAY, sometimes twice a day. You made sure she had everything that she needed that was in your power. You went above and beyond for our mother and for that we are forever indebted to you. I hope God grants you favor in all that you do because you wholeheartedly deserve it. Thank you.
Love, Your Siblings
