Obituary

Nancy Deloise Wilson was born on November 11, 1960, in Laurel, Mississippi, to James Bailey, Sr. and Gennie Bailey.

She departed this earthly life on August 31, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, faith, and service to others.

Nancy was a woman who genuinely loved people. She enjoyed talking and meeting new people, shopping, spending time with her family, and flowers. She had a caring spirit and was known for taking care of her family and those within her community. Her nurturing nature was one of the many qualities that made her special to those blessed to know and love her.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Nancy was a member of Pleasant Grove F.G.B.C., where she shared in Christian fellowship and worship.

Throughout her working years, Nancy was employed with Sanderson Plumbing and was also self-employed through a cleaning service. Her work reflected the same qualities she demonstrated throughout her life—dedication, service, and a willingness to care for others.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Wilson; son, Kelvin Wilson; father, James Bailey, Sr.; and sisters, Beverly Bailey, Martha Lanier, Diane Binion, Bessie Mae Lee, and Janice Hill.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Gennie Bailey; her children, Luekeyish Temple (Jerry) Gary Baile (Lorin) Tracy Washington (Fredrick) Shameka Ross (Ramone), Johnnie Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, and Joshua Wilson; special nieces, Lillie Terrell-McDonald (Stephen), Jackie Sanders (Rev. Bobby Sanders); her siblings, Melvin Verdell (Ozzie), Earnestine Reed (Darrell), James Bailey, Jr. (Hattie), Ronnie Bailey, Mary Bailey, Amedric Walkers, Nicholas Bailey (Totoha), Anthony Bailey, Sr., Christopher Bailey, Tony Hill, and Robert Speights; 26 grandchildren and 18 great grand-children; special friends, Mary Hill, Ivory Harris, Daisy Hannah, Angela Kidd; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, friends.
