Patrick King, lovingly known as "Cool", was born to Lillie Katherine King and Devotie Gray on April 2, 1969 in Macon, Mississippi. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and began his spiritual journey, becoming a member of Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Bobby L. McCarter, Sr.
Patrick "Cool" attended Noxubee County Elementary School, Junior High School, and High School in Macon, MS. While attending school, Patrick "Cool" participated in various sports, such as basketball, baseball, and football. During his high school years, he excelled in the game of football (leading the team in rushing and making the All-District Team for three consecutive years). Patrick "Cool" received numerous awards and scholarships, and he was recruited by several football teams in the Mid-South area including Jackson State University. He went on to play for the East Mississippi Junior College Lions from 1987-1989.
After college, Patrick "Cool" was hired by Bryan's Foods in West Point, MS. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee for many years until he sustained a severe injury to his leg.
On the morning of Monday, August 25, 2025, at Anderson Medical Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi, Patrick "Cool" King transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest. He was loved by his family and will truly be missed.
Patrick "Cool" was preceded in death by his father, Devotie Gray, grandparents, John Henry and Mattie King and Harvey and Molly Gray, three aunts, Betty J. King, Mattie Humphries, and Betty Gray, and three uncles, Leroy Gray, George Moore, and Johnny King, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Lillie King Brewer (Willie) of Macon, MS; two sons, Rodrickis Robinson of Jackson, MS, and Sa'Majai King of Macon, MS; one sister, Angela King of Macon, MS; two grandchildren, Chase and Bailey Robinson of Jackson, MS; five aunts, Eva Pryor of Kankakee, IL, Lula King of Macon, MS, Ruthie King of Indianapolis, IN, Earnestine (Jack) Hendricks, and Delois (L.B.) Morgan, both of Crawford, MS; three uncles, Bobby J. Gray, Daniel Gray, and Stanley Gray, all of Crawford, MS, numerous cousins, family members, and friends.
