Obituary

Pearlie Mae Williams began her life on January 28, 1931. Pearlie was the third child of Tommie Ferguson and Julia Ferguson. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with New Hope CME Church where she served as a member of the choir. Pearlie was united in holy matrimony to Carnell Williams in 1955 and to this union two children were born.

Pearlie was employed at Union League of Chicago for many years and also served as a personal chef for the judges of the Cook County Department of Correction in Chicago, IL for many years until retirement. Pearlie loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a huge wrestling fan. Pearlie was also known as "babysitter, Baechel, and Auntie Bae." Pearlie will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, awesome sense of humor, dancing, good heart, and most of all treating everyone with love. After an illness with dementia, Pearlie peacefully departed this life on October 14, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: James T. Ferguson, Lloyd Ferguson, Tommie Ferguson, Charlie Ferguson, and Joe Lee Ferguson; three sisters: Julia M. Hudson, Earlene Scott, and Bertha Williams; a loving husband of 48 years, Carnell Williams; and a loving son, Larry Williams; and grandson, Larry Williams, Jr. (AKA: Tre).

Pearlie leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Linda Parrish; a wonderful son-in-law, Michael Parrish; four grandchildren, Lawrence, Bobby, Aisha, Tiera; six great-grandchildren, Deshawn, Zaryah, Braylen, Ryan, Rayah, and Nasir; two sisters: Celia Moore and Fannie (Robert) Stephenson both of Columbus, MS; one brother, Willie Ferguson of Muskegon, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends,  and extended family.
