Peggy S. Seymore, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Born in Shuqualak, MS, to the late Henry Parks and Minnie Lee Shields, Peggy embodied the spirit of love and kindness that enriched the lives of all who knew her. A devoted bus monitor for several years at ICS Head Start in Macon, MS, Peggy's nurturing nature made her a cherished figure among children and parents alike. Peggy attended Second Running Water M.B. Church, where she found solace and joy in her spiritual community. When not surrounded by her loved ones, Peggy delighted in her outings to Wal-Mart and Dirt Cheap, embracing the simple pleasures of life with a sparkle in her eye and laughter on her lips. Whether shopping for essentials or simply enjoying the atmosphere, she found happiness in the everyday.

Peggy is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Henry Seymore; her sister, Marilyn Shields; and her brother, Marvin Shields.

Peggy leaves behind her sons: Comontesze Seymour of Tuscaloosa, AL and Travis Seymore of Shuqualak, MS; 3 grandchildren, Javion Seymour and Amaria Kilpatrick; her brothers, Herbert Ray Shields, Eddie Shields and James Shields; a special person, "Nikki"; and a host of other family and friends. As we mourn her loss, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that will forever remain in our hearts.
