Mr. Robert Lee Mickens Jr. was born May 13, 1953 to Robert Lee Mickens Sr and Estella Mickens. He departed his life on Friday, August 25, 2023.
Robert accepted Christ at an early age. He was a graduate of Noxubee County High School. He later moved to Chicago, IL where he was a Construction Worker and also worked for Miles Laboratory as a Machinist.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Mickens, Sr. and Estella Mickens; brothers, Lawrence and John Mickens and his sister Nancy Mickens.
He leaves to mourn his four children, Miranda Mickens of Brooksville Mississippi, Fredrick (Tamika) Mickens of Calumet City Illinois and Yolanda (Casey) Taylor of Olive Branch Mississippi, Jaukita Mickens of Chicago, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Vincent, Fredricus, Travis, Ja'Mesha, MiKala, Destiny, Imani, Kaci, Liam and one great grandchild Avian; six sisters, Annie Mickens, Cora Clark, Fannie (Andrew) Henley, Vicki Mickens of Brooksville Mississippi, Doris Mickens of Tuscaloosa Alabama, Lucille (Alvin) Cowans of Columbus Mississippi; three brothers, James (Duraina) Mickens of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Roosevelt Mickens of Brooksville Mississippi and Craig Mickens of Woodbine Georgia. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
