Mrs. Ruby C. Quinn (Murry) was born on December 4, 1934, to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Davidson Murry. She departed this life on January 21, 2024, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

She met her husband, Odell Quinn and they united in holy matrimony on December 26, 1952 and were joined together for 70 years.

Ruby Quinn grew up in the Tibbee community and later moved to Chicago, Illinois.  She held several jobs but later became certified as a childcare provider in the State of Illinois. She provided childcare in her home for many years until she retired and moved back to the Tibbee community.

She confessed faith in Christ and was baptized. She was an active member at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, where she was a member of the adult choir and the "The Young Matrons."  She returned home to the Tibbee community in 1994, and united with Maranatha Faith Center in Columbus, MS where she served faithfully on the Mother's Board.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Quinn; her parents, Thomas Murry and Elizabeth Davidson Murry; two sons, Gerald Anthony Quinn and Odell Quinn, Jr.; her brother, Luther Murry; son-in-law, Adolphus Harris; one granddaughter, Aundralae Harris; and two (2) great-grandchildren, Kimarion Nelson Todd and Journi Kalise Price.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Darise Jean Jackson (Robert) of Fredericksburg, VA, Levon Harris of West Point, MS, Linda Patterson (Victor) of Holly Springs, GA; step-daughter, Betty Amos of Starkville, MS, twenty-two (22) grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all of her wonderful friends.
