Ruthie Mae
King
July 23, 1942 – November 1, 2022
Ruthie Mae King, a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many was born on July 23, 1942 in Macon, MS to the late Leonna and James Macon, Sr. She made her transition to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 1, 2022.
Ruthie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Moriah M.B. Church, she later moved her membership to St. Paul M.B. Church before ultimately joining Peter's Rock Temple of Macon until her untimely death.

One of her greatest gifts was how she loved her family, friends, and people in her life.

Ruthie leaves to cherish her sweetest and most heartfelt love, and memories: a special friend, Richard Brooks, six daughters: Doris Ann Walker-Bratton of Brooklyn, NY, Doris Jean King (Aaron) of Macon, MS, Lorrie Ann King (Bruce) of Macon, MS, Lillie Pearl King (Lynn) of Macon, MS, Joyce Renae King (Xavier) of Macon, MS and Pattie King-Doss (Detric) of Columbus, MS; two sons, Gerone King and Derrick King of Macon, MS; three grandchildren as her own, Orlando Macon of Macon, MS, Meyokia King of Columbus, MS and Jamarion King of Louisville, MS; twenty-one grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Two brothers: Willie Gene Harris and Walter Harris both of Macon, MS; one sister, Mary Harris, and one sister in law; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
