Sam Walker was born on January 21, 1968 in Lowndes County, MS to Sadie Walker and the late James Whitfield.  Sam confessed Christ at an early age. Sam was known to his family and friends as "Lavell" and called "Peanut" by his Aunt (Wine).

Sam was preceded in death by his grandmother, Susie Mae Walker (Andrew Walker); aunts, Annie Kate Walker, Mary Walker Little (Rev. Sammie Little), Jessie Walker, Rev. Allen Elizenberry, Sr. and nephew, Carson Brooks.

Sam leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Kelvin Roland and Samuel Jefferson; daughter, Zoria Walker; mother, Sadie Walker; sisters, Glenda Whitfield, Latarsha (Laisha) Walker, Ramona Brooks and Chiquita Smith; brothers:  Vincent (Tosha) Walker, Bobby Walker, and Amos Walker; one grandchild. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
