Shelia Ann Ross, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, was born on June 7, 1960, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Ollie and Miranda Ross. She departed this life on November 5, 2025, at her residence, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Shelia was a vibrant soul whose passion for cooking brought joy to family gatherings, where her culinary creations were always a highlight. She treasured the time spent with her family, especially during travels with her siblings, creating bonds that would last a lifetime. A dedicated worker, Shelia devoted many years of her life to various companies, including Airline Manufacturing, Peco Foods, Food Giant, and Roses, ultimately retiring from Walmart after 15 years of service.
Sheila's life was marked by resilience and strength, qualities that she instilled in her children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Christopher Ross, and her siblings Ollie Ross Tuggle, Tommie James Ross, Vernessa Ross Pate, and Rolly George Ross.
Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love through her sons, James D. Ross, Morio A. (Deletha) Ross, and Michael (Kristi) Ross, grandchildren, Azaria Sims, LaJonta Harvill, and Jamiya Smith. She is also survived by her siblings William L. Ross, Joe Lee (Teresa) Ross, Willie G. Ross, Earlene (Matthew) Stubbe, Steven Ross, and Elizabeth (Charles) Blackwell, Rosellar Ross, Dorothy McDavis, Arvetia Bishop, Dorothy (Kevin) Avery, Rosie Morgan, Shirley Townsend, Richard Townsend; a special friend, Harvey Johnson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who held her dear.
Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Shelia Ann Ross will be remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her ability to bring people together. As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love she so freely gave. May she rest in peace.
