November 26, 1959 – February 7, 2025
Sinter Reatha Sherrod entered this world on November 26, 1959 to Alfred, Sr. and Aretha Sherrod in Macon, MS. Sinter and her family moved to Columbus during her childhood years and she completed her high school education at Caldwell High School with the class of 1977. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at a young age at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church and remained a lifelong member. Sinter relocated to Vernon, Alabama where she was employed with Lanier Clothing as a seamstress.
Sinter, known as "Bookie", enjoyed life to the fullest. Her laughter with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, was her fondest moments. She also enjoyed dancing and being a support to her family, friends, and community.
Sinter departed this life on February 7, 2025 in Columbus, MS.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her siblings: Dennis Sherrod, Donald Sherrod, Alfred Sherrod, Jr., Alcurtis Sherrod, and Bobby Sherrod.
Sinter's memories will forever be cherished by her children: Micaela Sherrod and Trovis (Echo Rose) Sherrod both of Columbus, MS, and Deangelo Sherrod (Latanya Bolding) of Huntsville, AL; four grand- children, Alesia Epps, Zechariah Sherrod, Jeremiah Sherrod, and Javeon Colebrook; three great- grandchildren, Angel Epps, Brandi Epps, and Jacob Epps; her siblings, Willie Sherrod, Deblin (Lamar) Hayes, Johnny Sherrod and Gae (Paul) Brennan all of Columbus, MS. She also leaves to cherish many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
