Tamica Renee Hudson-Hughes was born on August 21, 1977 in Columbus, Mississippi to the Late Linda Ann Hudson and Matthew Hudson Jr. She was an Interior Decorator, Wife, and a Mother of 3 children. She accepted Christ early in her life. She was a Trendsetter in her own special way with fashion from head to toe as well as her Eclectic Taste in home decor that would please a crowd in a showroom. As she continued to perfect her craft while gaining loyal clientele, she met the love of her life, Derek Hughes and they exchanged vows March 27, 2020.

Tamica transitioned this life on Monday, January 1, 2024 in Olive Branch, MS. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Linda Ann Cochran-Hudson.

She is survived by her husband, Derek Hughes of Olive Branch, Mississippi; her father, Matthew Hudson Jr. of Greenville, MS; her loving adult children, Tarron and Ayona Elise Colom of Olive Branch, MS; Jabez Malachi Hudson of Houston, Texas; dear mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth & James Terry of Columbus, MS; a host of blended children, Keayra Shante Hughes, Amber Nicole Hughes, Kenya Elizabeth Hughes, Taymond Hughes; grandkids, Alahni Hughes and Avah Kincade all from Columbus, MS, and an incoming bundle of joy grandbaby; Treasured Confidant Antonea Nell of Greenville, MS; brothers, Broderick (Patricia) Cochran of Jackson, MS; Anthony Cochran of Columbus, MS; Tyshaun Hudson of Texas; Jeremy Hudson, Jason Hudson of Columbus, MS; Matthew Hudson III of Phoenix, Arizona; John Alvin of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sisters, Roschelle (Frank) Jones of Baton Rouge, LA; Monica Cochran of Columbus, MS; and Corlotta Hudson of Venice, Rhode Island; and host of loving nieces and nephews.
