Obituary

Titashia Yevette Brooks Springer was born October 3, 1976 in Macon, MS to Mary L. Brooks. She departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2026 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Tashia confessed faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Southside Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Isaac Lacy, Sr.

Tashia was a graduate of Columbus High School, Class of 1995. She was employed with Brooks Cleaning Service for 10 years.

Tashia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Whenever you saw her, she always had a smile on her face. She was strong and fearless. No matter what challenges she faced in life, Tashia displayed strength, courage and perseverance.

Tashia was united in holy matrimony to Tony Springer, Jr. to this union, one child was born.

Tashia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Essie M. Wilson and Moses Brooks, Sr; one aunt, Earnest Jean Kennedy; two uncles, Alfred Brooks and Moses Brooks, Jr.

Tashia leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Tony Springer, Jr.; her son, Tony Springer, III; her step-daughters, Natasia Springer and Elizabeth (Jeremiah) Ramsey; three grandchildren, Nataylea, Gianna, and Jeremiah; her mother and father, Mary Brooks McIntire and Larry McIntire; two brothers, Ricardo (Hosheena) Brooks and Julius McIntyre; one sister, Tashica McIntyre; nieces and nephews, Rodriquez, Jeremiah, Rylee, Taylor, Enrique, Isabella, Jayson, Julian, Nicholas and Aura; aunts, Dorothy Burrell, Phyllis (Larry) Shelton, Hazel Franklin, and Lizz (Ringo) Harris; uncles, James (Sarah) Brooks, Henry (Christean) Brooks, Charlie Brooks, David (Betty) Brooks, and Leslie Brooks; her best friend, Andrea; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
