Vivian
Hodges
May 9, 1964 – September 2, 2024
Vivian Hodges was born on May 9, 1964, to Alan Hinton and Minnie Hodges in Columbus, MS. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Millport, AL. She attended and graduated from S.D. Lee High School in Columbus, MS.
Vivian's life was one filled with Enjoyment. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and sitting on the porch listening to music. Her love for the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren resulted in her having a "neighborhood house" where children went for fun times and a feeling of safety. Her Ash Street family held a special place in her heart. The community of residents were not just neighbors but a village that looked out for each other. Vivian, being a wonderful mother and person, was always there when someone needed her most. She offered support, wisdom, and love to anyone in need. Vivian was the proud mother of four kings and raised several generations after. She was also known as the queen of spades and love the Miami Dolphins. Her family and her grandchildren were very dear to her heart.
Vivian departed this life on September 2nd, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital GTR. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Willie Lee and Charlie Hodges; her mother Minnie Hodges; her brothers Willie Gene Finch and Emmanuel Hinton; and her sister Debra Spelman.
