On Sunday September 28, 2025, Will Cheatham departed this life and entered his eternal life at his home in Brooksville, MS. He was born on December 28, 1951, to the loving parents: Jordan Cheatham and Bessie Cal Colbert. He was the 2nd born of all his siblings, he also has a twin brother, Minister John D Cheatham Sr. He was preceded in death by his father Jordan Cheatham, SR, a daughter Towanda Cheatham, a son Lafayette Cheatham, a brother Jordan Cheatham, Jr, a sister Alma Thomas, a grandson Jaquaveus Turner and two great grandchildren A'niyla and Ar'Moni Cheatham
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Macon, MS for many years. Later in life he joined Bigbee Baptist Church in Aliceville, AL where he remained a faithful member until his death.
He was united in Holy Matrimony with Brenda Windham on February 7, 2009, and they shared 6 children together, 3 of which were from a previous marriage. He was employed as a supervisor at the City of Macon for 28 ½ years until he retired. He also worked independently with Mr. Oliver Harvey.
He was an all-around guy and did not meet a stranger nowhere he went. He was kind, kept a smile on his face and if you were around him, he would always make you laugh. He loved people and would help you in any way he could.
He leaves to cherish in his memories: wife Brenda Cheatham; mother: Bessie Cheatham; four daughters, Aleshia Cheatham of Omaha, NE, Katiria Windham, Ty'meisha Windham both of Macon, MS, Jessica Thompson of Birmingham, AL; one son, Andre Wright of San Antonio, TX, ten sisters, Mattie Bush, Joyce R. Skinner, Elizabeth Cheatham, Jean (Donald) Smith, June Brown and Ophina Cheatham all of Macon, MS Leavester (Pastor Perry Stanton, Jr), Elsie (Eddie) Stanton, Regina Cheatham all of Columbus, MS, Mariah Turnipseed of Starkville, MS, five brothers, Rev. John (Minister Mary Cheatham), Julius Cheatham, James Cheatham, Harold (Katherine) Brown all of Macon, MS, Robert (Katrina) Cheatham of Prentiss, MS, sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Constance (Edward) Blakney, Tara Glass Purifoy both of Birmingham, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
