William Brownridge was born in Macon, Mississippi to Jonah & Lucille Brownridge on July 1, 1948. He confessed Christ at an early age at Cedar Grove M.B. Church. He grew up in Noxubee County, MS and ventured out during adulthood. William spent his life in trucking. He traveled all across the states for many with J B Hunt and Swift Trucking Companies.

He was also employed with Budweiser Company in Columbus, MS. He retired from trucking and later relocated to Pleassant Hill, NC where he remained.

William departed this life on February 14, 2023, at the Vidant Health in Greenville, NC.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers: Otha, Jimmie Lee, and Abraham; his sisters: Inez, Mattie, Jean, and Linda Kate.

William leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Bonnie Porter, Caroline Barnes, and Doris Jefferson; brothers-in-law, Curtis Gandy and Willie Spann, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special friend, Anne Pitt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
