Obituary

This Energetic & Charismatic young man was born December 17, 1954, to the mother of Shirley Harris.  William was the oldest child of four:  Deborah Hamilton, Shelia Hamilton, Betty Hamilton, and J.B. Hamilton.

William accepted Christ at an early at Blackjack M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Gladney.

While growing and experiencing life, William attended F.O. Alexander High School where he played basketball, baseball, football, and track where he excelled scholastically.  After completing high school, he attended Mississippi State University.  After his scholastic goal was completed, he married Peggy Ann Turnipseed and to this union, two children were born.

William lived his life to the fullest filled with many accomplishments, failures, successes, ups, and downs and by our own terms.  He devoted his work life to Clarks Coco-Cola Company for 30 plus years, as well as Bryan Foods in West Point, MS.  After traveling through life, God blessed him on July 27, 2008, with a "Guardian Angel", Mrs. Mary Frances Bryant and with this union of 16 years of marriage.   He was able to reconnect with the most high God, find his true purpose (preaching), and began to live a life he deserved and God expected.  As his light shined, so did his life.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Hamilton.

He leaves behind to celebrate and carry on his memories: his loving wife, Mary Frances Harris of Crawford, MS, his mother, Shirley Hamilton of Columbus, MS; his children, Tameka Hill and William "Bill" Harris of Starkville, MS, Tishena Harris of Dallas, TX, Randy Shields of Oak Hill, Va, Jennifer Henley of Jackson, MS, Reginald Henley York, SC; his siblings, Shelia Blakely of Columbus, MS, J.B. Hamilton of Reform, AL, Betty A. Robertson of Starkville, MS; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
