Bro. William Smith, Sr. was born September 24,1937 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Mary Edward Leonard and Hilliard Smith. Brother Smith was the oldest of his siblings, he was a family man which he loved his wife, children and grands. He covered all 3 P's that requires in a man: Profess, Provide and Protect was his duties.
Bro Smith accepted Christ before transition over to a better life. He was determined to confess to Pastor Therman Cunningham Sr. the last 3 weeks of his life.
Bro. Smith worked for Cedar Crest Farm over 30 years and later retired. He started traveling with the love of his life enjoying one another.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife Annie, daughter Maxine Golden, 3 grandchildren's, two brothers and one sister. Daughter-In-law Deborah Smith and Son-in- Law Bobby Wilson.
Bro Smith leaves to cherish his memories, his six children: Brenda Wilson, Sherry (Rafael) Vonsee', Evelyn Weaver, Sharon and Frederick Smith all of Columbus, Mississippi and William Smith Jr. of Columbus, MS. Son –in- Law: Alphonso Golden Sr. of Akron, Ohio. One Sister Geraldine (Willie) Howard, and two Brothers Joel Smith and Albert Holmes of Tunica, Mississippi. Two-sister-in- law Ann Treadwell and Edith Martin both of Columbus, Mississippi, and one Brother-in-law Freddie Fenton of West Point, Mississippi, 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great- great grands and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
