Willie Dell Sherrod, affectionately known as "Pig," was born on March 3, 1955, to Alfred and Aretha Sherrod in Muskegon, Michigan. He departed this life on July 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and music.

Willie was a dedicated employee at Columbus Machine & Welding, where he worked as a painter. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his passion for life. Known for his infectious smile and warm spirit, he brought joy to everyone around him. Willie had a remarkable talent for music, often seen strumming his guitar or playing the harmonica, filling the air with melodies that resonated with the hearts of those who listened.

A man of faith, Willie accepted Christ at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, where he found a community that embraced him and nurtured his spiritual journey. His faith was a guiding light in his life, and he shared that light with others through his kindness and generosity.

Willie is remembered not only for his musical talents and work ethic but also for his ability to bring people together. He had a unique gift for making every gathering a celebration, and his laughter was a constant reminder of the joy that life can bring.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Dennis Sherrod, Donald Sherrod, Alfred Sherrod, Jr., Alcurtis Sherrod, Bobby Sherrod and Sinter Sherrod.

He is survived by his loving children, Willie Robinson, Jr., Donald Sherrod, Pamela Sherrod-Williams, Anthony Sherrod and Deno Sherrod; his siblings, Deblin (Lamar) Hayes, Johnny Sherrod and Gae (Paul) Brennan; 15 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
