Woodrow Clark,
Jr.
January 28, 1986 – July 25, 2023
Woodrow "Pookie" Clark Jr. was born January 28, 1986 in Starkville, MS to Latossia and Woodrow Clark, Sr. He departed this life to take his rest on Tuesday July 25, 2023.
Woodrow gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from West Lowndes High School in 2004, and went on to achieve his Associates Degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute in Atlanta, GA in 2006. Woodrow's electrical career began at Severstal in Columbus, MS. In 2017, he moved to Texas and continued his Electrical career with WestRock and finally Six Flags Over Texas.
Woodrow married his love Adrienne, November 6, 2010. They loved each other dearly. Woodrow thoroughly enjoyed his life. His free spirit was infectious. His presence could light up a room. He lived by a rule of "Treat Everyone as Family", and he did and met no strangers. His welcoming spirit was one of his best qualities.
If he wasn't fishing or traveling, Woodrow spent his time talking to and being around his family and friends. Fishing was his passion and he wanted to teach anyone that wanted to learn. Woodrow also had a love for sports. During football season, it was important that you tread very lightly when talking about his Dallas Cowboys!
Woodrow loved his family. He was a lover of people, and he enjoyed sharing his experiences and advising his friends and family. His love was unconditional. To know him was to love him. One of his many mottos was "Say what you mean, and mean what you say", and if he ever told you "I got you", you could take it to the bank. His supportive and giving spirit created so many memories with so many people.
Woodrow's life was the perfect example of what the world needs from us as people. His imprint is everlasting. His spirit will forever be present.
Woodrow was preceded in death by grandparents: Lee Samuel Brooks, Will and Priscilla Clark, Grandmother-in-law, Margaret Blevins, and special cousin Deondrey Hopkins.
Woodrow's memories will forever be cherished by his wife Adrienne Clark, of Fort Worth, TX; parents, Latossia and Woodrow Clark, Sr. of Crawford, MS; brother, Brandon (Vontreesa) Clark of Spring, TX; sister, Jayla Malone of Gainesville, GA; parents-in-law, Barbara and John Mayfield, Sr., of Steens, MS; grandmother, Bessie Brooks of Crawford, MS; grandmother-in-law, Nellie Mayfield of Crawford, MS; brother-in-law, John Mayfield, Jr. of Columbus, MS; sisters-in-law, Tierra Mayfield, Baldwin, MS and Jalisa Mayfield of Columbus, MS; nieces, Alyssa and Azaria; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
