La'Garius Devonta Morris was born in Columbus, MS, to Devonta Carter and Bianca Morris on September 22, 2004. He attended Bibleway Progressive COGIC, where he confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Williams.

La'Garius was a talented football player, drummer, and active in the church's youth ministry, affectionately known to family and friends as G-Baby or L.G.

La'Garius gained his wings to be with our heavenly father on July 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his great-great-great-grandfather, Otis Morris, his great-grandfather, George Thomas, his aunt, Tilisha Morris, and one uncle, Demonta "Slugger" Brown.

La'Garius leaves precious memories with his father and mother, Devonta Carter and Bianca Morris, of Columbus, MS; sisters and brothers, Rodriguez Morris, JaCorey Smart, Za'Kiyah Smart, and Za'Riyah Smart; grandparents, Anthony Tony Johnson, of Chicago, IL; Shawn and Nicole Young, of Columbus, MS, and Alexander and Jacquel Brown, of Athens, GA; great-grandparents, Annias and Laura Sherman and Jennie Whitfield; his aunts, Qua'Shawndra and Bri'Anna Carter; uncles, Xzavier and Juquaires Morris; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
