Obituary

Ada Mae Conner was born in Columbus, MS on Wednesday, April 28, 1948, to Louis and Loudelia Lang. She lived a blessed 77 years. Ada attended Concord Elementary School and accepted Christ at a very early age. When she relocated back to Columbus, MS, she fully and faithfully attended Piney Grove M.B. Church where she faithfully served as an usher and later as a church Mother.

Ada worked as a cook and waitress at The Queen of the Sea in Chicago, Illinois for many years, but her true love was cooking Sunday dinners that always brought family and friends together at her home. Sundays at Ada's house was more than just a meal they were a tradition, a gathering place, and a reminder of what love truly means. There wasn't a pot she touched that you didn't taste or feel the love. Her cooking carried warmth, comfort, and joy, and everyone knew that when Ada was in the kitchen, something special was on the way. Her home was always open, her table was always full, and her love was always present.

She was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother, niece, cousin and a true friend. Ada was everything to everyone always giving, always helping, always putting others before herself. She had a heart that was pure, a spirit that was strong, and a love that could be felt by anyone who came near her. Most importantly, she was a faithful child of God, and she lived her life with purpose, compassion, and grace.

Scripture Psalm 23
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of

righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

2 Timothy 4:7
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
