Annie Ruth Guyton Hill was born in Coalfire, Alabama in Pickens County on February 9, 1929, to Charlie Guyton and Elizabeth Trimuel Guyton.
Annie Ruth accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Millport, Alabama. She later moved to Columbus, MS where she became a member of Northside M.B. Church until her departure.
She ended her earthly journey peacefully, October 4, 2022, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Hill Sr., sons, Clarence Davis Sr., Henry Guyton, John Hill Jr., siblings, Shead Trimuel Sr., Willard Guyton, Clemmon Guyton, Elizabeth Patmon, Pearlie Mae Guyton, Charlice Guyton.
Annie Ruth's memories will be forever cherished by her children, Willie T. Hill of Safety Harbor, Florida, Johnnie Mae Matthews, Emma Griggs, Marcell Hill (Hilda), Bernice Hill, and Juanita Hill all of Columbus, Mississippi; daughters-in-law, Annie Hill of Columbus, MS and Loventrice Guyton of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Estelle Mills of Millport, Alabama, Willie Mae Tellis of Detroit, MI, Milton Guyton (Frances) of Toledo, Ohio, Bobby Guyton (Dorothy) of Millport, AL; special nieces, Elsie Collie, Hassie Brown both of Columbus, MS, Jackie Lee of Georgia; 23 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
