Benny George Hoskins was born on May 7, 1961, to Lucille Straughter-Hoskins and the late George Jr. Hoskins in Aberdeen, MS. Benny confessed hope in Christ at an early age by joining the Ebenezer M.B. Church in Aberdeen, MS. After relocating to California, he joined the First Church of God of Los Angeles under the leadership of Rev. William Young on May 30, 1993.
Benny graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1980. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the United States Army. After serving several years for his country, he came home and worked for several years.
Later, Benny decided to explore greater heights and re-located to Los Angeles, California. While in California, Benny worked as a Security Officer and an In-Home Support Assistant.
Benny leaves to cherish, his mother, Lucille Hoskins of Aberdeen, MS, 4 biological children and one daughter that he loved as his own, sons, Jason Moton of Tupelo, MS and Servantez Hoskins of Southaven, MS; daughters, Cicilla Tumblin (Lyderia) of Houston, MS, Chelsea Nichole Franks of Louisiana and a daughter that he took as his own, Amber (Armery) Osbourne of Tupelo, MS. He also leaves a brother, Eddie (Carolyn) Hoskins and two sisters, Sandra (Wonder) Walker and Lue Ella (Royce) Hoskins-Stephens of Aberdeen, MS; aunts, Essie Straughter, Earline Straughter, Lucenda Straughter, Mary Alice Blanchard, Letha Morgan, Georgia Willis; uncles, JC Straughter, Johnny (Brenda) Straughter, Earl Hoskins, Willie C. McMillian and Willie James McMillian; grandchildren, Zykirra Moton, Jazlyn Moton, Lyderia Tumblin, Lyrica Tumblin, Adrian Hoskins, Khamaria Hoskins, Kameron Hoskins, & Kacence Carothers; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, George Jr. Hoskins, grand- mothers, Louise Straughter and Elizabeth Hoskins, grandfathers, Amos Straughter and George Hoskins, Sr.; sister, Esteria Hoskins and brother, Johnny C. Hoskins.
