Bertha Jean Brown, 80, died July 1, 2023, at her residence. Ms. Brown was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Meridian, to the late Roosevelt Brown and Madie Williams. She was formerly employed at Weidmann's Restaurant and was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Brown, Bob Williams, Glenda Brown, Madie Pearl Brown, Lula Mae Ward and Sandra Kay Bodlen; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her children, Vernessa Hayden, Brenda Howell, Leroy Brown and Janet Robinson; siblings, Betty Williams, Billy Williams, Jerry Williams and Daryll Williams; and 14 grandchildren.
