Mrs. Bertha "Shugg" Coleman was born to Sam Henry and Lizzie Mae Harris on June 27, 1944 in Crawford, MS. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Greater Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

Bertha worked for many years at various businesses including Johnston Tombigbee, Hardees, and Pride of the South Fish Plant. She enjoyed her fellowship with her family friends sharing old time stories and cracking jokes.

Bertha departed this life on March 5, 2024, in Columbus, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Harris; three brothers: Jimmy, Johnny, and Frank Harris; and one sister, Corine King.

Bertha leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Edward, Willie, and Bernard Harris all of Columbus, MS; two daughters, Tasha (Steve) Love  and Charming Harris both of Columbus, MS; two sisters, Virgie Fulton and Ivory Harris both of Columbus, MS; aunt, Laura Saulsberry of Kankakee, IL; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
