Bettie Lewis died unexpectedly on November 5, 2023. She was born on March 29, 1950 in Columbus MS to the late Litton and Ella Mae Golden.

Bettie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and an amazing aunt. Bettie accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, 2 sisters, Jose Mae Golden of Akron Ohio & Charlene Golden of Columbus MS, 2 brothers Charles Golden (Pamela) of Columbus MS and Willie C. Golden Of Akron, Ohio.

Bettie is survived by her children, Shawn Golden (Zimeka), Jackie Walker (Dexter), Johnnie Lewis (Dewanna) and Christopher Lewis; 6 siblings; 3 sisters Johnnie Golden and Beulah Harper both of Akron Ohio & Luberta Wade (Jessie) of New Brunswick NJ;3 brothers, James Golden (Melva) of Akron Ohio. Litton Golden and Larry Golden both of Columbus MS.

She also leaves to cherish her memories 8 grandchildren, Prince Walker, Emily Walker, Rasheed Walker, Amber Lewis, Ashley Lewis, Aisha Lewis, Christopher Lewis & Kazia Lewis & 1 great-grandchild, Kennedy Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
