Billie  Louise Asberry Crowell was born on December 25, 1944 to Johnny M. Asberry and Mary E. Asberry.

She departed this life on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT, Columbus, MS at the age of 78.

Billie was born in Memphis, TN and later moved to Aliceville, AL where she was raised by her grandmother.  Billie's passion was playing basketball, dancing, singing, hanging out with family and friends.  Billie joined Bigbee Baptist Church in Aliceville, AL where she served on the Usher Board, song in the choir, and participated in all church activities.  She was also an Eastern Star of the Aliceville Chapter.

Billie later relocated to Columbus, MS and became a member of Springhill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Cole.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mary Asberry, her daughter Patricia Ann Hughes and grandson, Mondrell Hughes, granddaughter, Quadasa Crowell, sister Mattie Pearl Crowell.

She is survived by her daughters:  Sarah Louise (Willie David) Garner and Burnette Crowell; son, Tyrone Davis Crowell; Grandchildren:  Kendrell Hughes, DeAngelo Crowell, Alexander Crowell, Kwantae Crowell, DeMondrell Crowell, Tera Crowell, Ty Emily Crowell, TyQuantez Crowell and TyQualan Crowell; 8 precious Great Grandchildren.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
