Branch C.
Coleman
August 27, 1962 – August 3, 2023
Branch C. Coleman departed this life to begin his eternal rest, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the very place he cherished, his beloved home. Born on August 27, 1962, to the late Willie Ed "Stuff" Coleman Sr. and Ida Mae Coleman, he accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Pooles Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1980 graduate of S.D. Lee High School. He worked and retired from Columbus Housing Authority in 1994.
Branch was an avid sports enthusiast who took interest in watching every sport. Especially, tennis, often waking early to watch Serena Williams playing in her European matches. He was obsessed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and remained a loyal fan despite their unfavorable season. Branch was a masterful cook. His love for grilling knew no bounds; he was a self-proclaimed grill master, turning every meal into a culinary delight.
His infectious smile and booming laughter will be sorely missed by his adoring mother, Ida Mae Coleman as he affectionately called her "Babe". His memory will always be cherished by his sons Anthony Bradford (Kimeko), Terrance(Victoria) Bradford; three brothers, Willie Ed Coleman Jr., Robert Coleman, Harold Coleman; three sisters, Debbie Coleman, Belinda Spencer (Robert), and Ethel McGee (Leo); grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
Beside his mother, siblings, children, and friends, Branch leaves behind his loving wife Debra Coleman, with whom he shared a bond that stood the test of time. Their love was a beacon of light that guided them through life's challenges and joys. Their journey together was one of devotion, travel, adventure, and unconditional love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the National Kidney Foundation, a cause that was dear to Branch's heart.
