Caroline "Callie" Miller, 86, of Columbus, MS, passed away peacefully on December16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 29, 1937 in Columbus, MS to George and Ozella Thomas. She married Tommie Lee Miller; Sr. on January 23,1954 and they shared 64 loving years of marriage until his passing in October 2019.

Mrs. Miller was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by five of her seven children, Mitchell Thomas, Lillie Green Miller, Mary Allen, Laura Miller, and Tommie Miller Jr,; her three bonus children, Hattie Buckhalter, Tommasina Grant, and Andre Rush; 14 of her 17 grandchildren, 21 of her 22 great-grandchildren,  and her two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Lee Miller Sr.; daughters, Gloria Griffin and Annie Thomas; siblings, Alice Thomas, Willie Thomas, Albert Thomas and Eloise Hollis; her grandchildren, Santonio Miller, Tina McCarthy, and Deadrian Buckhalter, and also her great grandson, Jarion Griffin.

Mrs. Miller worked for the Columbus Municipal School District in the custodial department for 15 years, where she was respected and appreciated by her colleagues and students. She later became a homemaker, where she enjoyed gardening, farming, quilting, sewing, tending to her farm animals, helping those in need, assisting with her grandchildren, ministering to others, and praising God. She was a woman of faith, strength, character, and genuine love. She touched many lives with her kindness, generosity, and wisdom. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
