Charles " Take -A-Chance/ Big Mane" Roby Jr. born November 28, 1956 in Noxubee County, Macon, MS to the late Bobby Ree and Charles Roby Sr. Charles departed his life on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Baptist Memorial in Jackson at 11:34 pm.
Charles confessed Christ at an early age, joined Millers Chapel M. B. Church, and was a devoted man who believed in God. Take a Chance was a very loving caring and supportive man. As a long-time career, construction was his passion and something he was very skilled in. Charles as loved fishing.
Big Mane always had a joke and a story to tell and you were sure to leave better than what you came with much laughter and fun.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters, Ricky Cotton, Hazel Roby, Martha Ann Roby, Bobby Jean Roby, and Irene Brown.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories: the love of his life; Sulester Stewart, four children, Felisha (Edrick) Price, Charleasha (Travoris Clark) Stewart, Shedrick (Latoria) Brown, CaTina (Antonio) Stokes all of Macon, MS; four grandchildren, Symmeria (LeeMarcus) Boyd of Southaven, MS, Savion Price, Ayden Clark, Quincy Stokes all of Macon, MS, and 1 great-grandson, Pryce Boyd of Southaven, MS, three sisters, Lucy Mae Roby and Lorraine King both of Macon, MS, and Christian Banch of Rock Island, IL.
He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
