Curtis Davis was born September 16, 1966, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Anita Davis. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church.

Curtis attended the Columbus Public Schools in his early years. He received his high school diploma from S.D. Lee High School with the class of 1984. After high school, he enrolled at EMCC obtaining his associate's degree. He furthered his education at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Curtis was employed with Columbus Brick Company and owned his own landscaping company. Curtis, affectionately known as "Buckeye", was a fun loving man who loved his family, classmates, and neighborhood friends. In his quiet moments he enjoyed prayer and reading the book of Proverbs.
