Our beloved Curtis Richardson was born on August 30, 1955, in Columbus, MS, to Peter Richardson Sr. and Ella Simon Richardson. He embraced his faith in Christ at a young age and became a dedicated member of Providence M.B. Church, where he served as a trustee and was one of original members of the church's Male Chorus. Curtis continued his service until he was called to his eternal rest on June 19, 2025.

Curtis completed his high school education at Caldwell High School in 1975. In his early career, he gained experience working at various local grocery stores, including Bostick Groceries, Big Star, and Sunflower. Additionally, he took on various jobs for friends and family in the neighborhood, focusing on tasks such as house maintenance, lawn care, and general labor.

He is preceded in death by his parents Peter Sr. and Ella Richardson, six siblings Edward Lee, Fannie, Clarence, James , Georgia, Peter Jr., and Martha Richardson, nephews James McCoy and Thomas Richardson Jr., a brother-in-law Sylvester McCoy Sr., and sister-in law Delores Richardson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories of three brothers Thomas L. Richardson Sr., of Cleveland, Ohio, Franklin Richardson (Louise), of Columbus, MS, and Jessie M. Richardson (Helen), of East Point, GA, one sister Pearlie McCoy Columbus, MS. Curtis was an uncle though like a brother to Sylvester McCoy (Sharon), Shlanda Ball and Jeffrey (Joanne) Richardson, all of Columbus, MS, cousin brother Tony McBride (Cassandra), a special lifelong friend Debra Burkhalter, and Goddaughter Terrie Young, a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
