Darryl "Rell" Williams, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born on January 7, 1978, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Mary Williams and Burton Sparks. His life was enriched by his unwavering faith in Christ, which he embraced from a young age.
Rell began his working journey at Hollis Roofing before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, where he dedicated 17 years to his passion for roofing, contributing his expertise at Tip Top Roofing and Crabapple Roofing. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his love for life and those around him.
An avid shoe enthusiast, Rell found joy in fishing, cherishing moments with family and friends, and indulging in delicious seafood. His vibrant spirit and laughter will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rell departed this life on May 17, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his father, Burton Sparks; his step-father, Larry Shirley; and two beloved brothers, Danny T. Lyons, Sr. and Terry Lyons.
Rell leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memories: his devoted wife, Rosetta Williams; his daughters, Brianna and Tatianna Williams; his cherished step-children, Kenya, Kaya, Kennedy Hampton and Kayla McClendon; and two adoring grandchildren, Kywaun White and Kayden Williams. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ann Williams Shirley; his siblings, Jacqueline (Omar) Danner, Jennifer Porter, Amy (Mark) Williams Davis, Cassandra Brown, Pamela Lyons, Bert Sparks III, Omar Danner, Larry Staples, Shayla Fenton, Kira Fenton and Joe Q. Lyons; his step-siblings, Larry Shirley Jr., Karmen Slaughter, and Katrina Shirley; his best friend, Alphonzo Smith, He leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends who will remember his kindness and generous spirit.
As we celebrate Rell's life, we take comfort in the memories he created and the love he shared, knowing he will forever remain in our hearts.
