Douglas McLeod, better known as Mack, was born on October 9, 1954 in Macon, Mississippi to William and Lizzie McLeod. He was a 1972 graduate of Noxubee High School. Douglas had several jobs, but his last employment was at East Mississippi Construction in Shuqualak, MS.

Mack considered "himself" the King of Cooking which was one of his most favorite hobbies beside fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lizzie McLeod, and his brother Thomas Jefferson McLeod.

Douglas leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Nikika McLeod of Caledonia, MS, Kimberly (Tyrone) McLeod of Columbus, MS, and Kera Windham of Macon, MS; three sons, Mario (Teneicia) McLeod of Starkville, MS, Colandus  (Meagan)  Mason of McCalla, AL and Shemar McLeod of Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister, Ruth (Vernon) Valentine of Pheba, MS; one sister-in-law, Laruth McLeod of Detroit, MI; twelve grandchildren; and one niece, Gloria Lynn (Anthony) Welch of Saint Louis, Missouri. Also, one special friend better known as, his son Greg Pruitt.  He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
