Emma Jean Brooks Jennings was born on February 11, 1948, in Columbus, MS to Mary Brooks and Lawrence Moody.

She departed this life on August 13, 2022 in Columbus, MS.

She grew up in the Motley area and confessed Christ at a young age at Oak Grove M.B. Church where she remained as a lifelong member. She was employed for over 20 years in housekeeping with Fairview Baptist Church and private homes. Emma was wonderful woman who enjoyed her family and friends dearly. She took great pride in making sure that her children and grandchildren came first in all aspects of their lives. She also loved to go shopping.

Emma is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Henry C. Jennings; her children, Sarah Fisher and Willie D. Jennings; siblings: Sara Jennings, Seal Ann McCants, and Walter Brooks, Jr.
