Thomas
July 6, 1995 – May 17, 2026
Eric Dijon Thomas, known affectionately to all as "E.T.”, “Teezy”, and “Smart Guy” was called to eternal rest on May 17, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was born on July 6, 1995 in Columbus, Mississippi, to his devoted parents, Candy Bradley and Eric Thomas. Eric illuminated the lives around him as a loving son, a supportive brother, a cherished grandson, a beloved nephew, and a true friend. His gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
From his early years, Eric demonstrated a steadfast faith, confessing his hope in Christ and becoming a beloved member of New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church. This spiritual foundation guided him throughout his life.
Eric possessed a vibrant passion for sports, showcasing his talent and dedication on the baseball & football fields of his youth. This love for athletics continued through his academic journey; he was a proud 2013 graduate of Caledonia High School, where he distinguished himself as a formidable player in football embodying teamwork and determination. Following his graduation, Eric pursued a career that reflected his commitment and skill, attending truck driving school where he earned his CDLs and Hazmat endorsement, paving the way for his professional endeavors. He diligently applied his expertise in his roles at NUCO2 and formerly at Yokohama. In his moments of leisure, Eric found solace and enjoyment in the world of video games, a testament to his personality.
Eric was preceded in passing by those who surely welcomed him with open arms: his grandfathers, Travis Jones, Sr. and Gus Thomas, and his four uncles, Timothy Thomas, Jerry Carter, Terry Thomas, and Cedric Thomas. Their memories remain a sacred part of his family's tapestry.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving parents, Candy Thomas Bradley of Steens, MS; Eric (Mishunda) Thomas of Columbus, MS and his siblings, Eriana Bradley, Bryson Thomas, and Erin Thomas, will forever hold him in their hearts. Eric is also survived by his adoring grandmothers, Annie Thomas, Johnnie (Dan) Wrench, and Della Thomas; his great-aunts, Katherine Pippins and Bonnie Jones; his aunts, Rhonda Thomas, Sandra (Johnny) Beckwith, Brenda Carter, Lisa Thomas, Anita Thomas, Lori Thomas, Annie Thomas, Courtney Thomas, and Patricia Sturdivant; his uncles; Gus Thomas, Jr., Andre Jones, Carmichael Jones, Roderick Sanders, and Steven Thomas; and a host of other relatives and dear friends will also mourn his loss yet celebrate the beautiful life he lived.
Eric Dijon Thomas's legacy of love, faith, and camaraderie will forever resonate within the hearts of those he touched. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire and comfort us all.
