The angel of death came a and swept away the sunshine spirit of Floria Jean Mitchell on Wednesday February 14, 2024. She has gone to a land that is free from sickness, pain, and sorrows. We will miss her love, warmth, and kindness, but it was God's will that Floria should leave. Our sweet Floria has departed this earth for another land.

Floria J. Mitchell was born August 21, 1949, in Lowndes County to Sanford L. Orr Sr. and Sallie Mae Orr. She confessed in Christ at an early age and joined Calvery Baptist Church. Floria was a graduate of R.E. Hunt High School 1967 and MUW.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford L. Orr Sr. and Sallie Mae Orr; grandparents, Thomas Martin Sr., and Mariah Martin; sisters, Sally Harris, Mildred Weathersby and son, Michael Derrick Ellis.

Our angel Floria has moved on to another land and leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted and loving husband, "Radio" Aaron Mitchell; sweet caring daughter, Kym Mitchell; son, Andrew Mitchell of Columbus, MS; brother, Sanford L. Orr Jr. (Linda) of Hattiesburg, MS; sisters, Earnestine Orr and Annie (Wayne) McNeely of Columbus, MS; daughter-in-law, Kennedra  Ellis of Columbus, MS; four grand children, Da'Kameron Mitchell, Kelvin Mitchell, Malcolm Ellis and McKenzie Ellis one great-grandchild, Harmonii Nicole Jackson of Columbus, MS and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.
