Gayle Marie Grays was born on May 23, 1952 to Wiley Johnson and Mildred Johnson-Brown. Gayle has always been a strong, determined woman. After being sick for quite a while, Gayle passed away on March 15, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wiley Johnson.

Gayle loved her family and leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Mildred Johnson-Brown; husband, Ezell Grays, Sr., one son, Ezell (Felischa) Grays, Jr., one daughter, Nekesha (Willie) Jefferson; two sisters: Estelle Forrest and Jeanette Norman; two brothers, Larry (Geraldine) Johnson, Michael Johnson and Donald Johnson, five grandchildren: Shabaris Jefferson, Gayla Jefferson, Makala Jefferson, Ezell Grays III, and Dorian Grays and three great grandchildren: Braylen Robinson, Ava Jefferson and Mia Bush.
