Gerald Anthony Quinn was born on November 12, 1960, to Odell and Ruby Quinn in Chicago, Illinois. He received his education in Chicago, IL, and after completing school, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he stayed for many years. He later moved to Houston, Texas which became his home. He was a "jack of all trades and a master of none" and a licensed air conditioner contractor until he became ill and battled with lung cancer.
He met his loving wife, Stephanie Yarbrough Quinn and they united in Holy Matrimony in Houston, Texas on July 4, 2016. Gerald, lovingly nicknamed "Squirrel" by his family, was called to his heavenly home on January 16, 2021, in Houston, Texas.
Gerald was preceded in death by his grandson, DeShaun Mahlik-Ali Quinn, grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Murry, AD and Pattie Mae Quinn, and father-in-law, Freddy Yarbrough.
He leaves to cherish his memory a blended family, his wife, Stephanie Quinn; his parents, Odell and Ruby Quinn of West Point, MS; his siblings, Darise J. Jackson (Robert) of Fredericksburg, VA, Levon Harris (Adolphus) of West Point, MS, Odell Quinn, Jr., of Houston, TX, and Linda Patterson (Victor) of Atlanta, GA; his sisters-in-law, Renea Yarbrough of Houston, TX, Denise Yarbrough and Nicole Yarbrough of Flint, MI; his children, Gerald Jason Quinn, II of Champaign, IL, Anthony Moreland of Dallas, Texas, Jeramie Antuan Green, and Jermaine Anthony Green of Chicago, IL; his stepchildren, Blake Hendricks of Atlanta, GA, Cherell Mason, Lew'Daris Posey both of Houston, TX and A'janea Scales of Champaign, IL; his grand-children, Janiyah Armani Green, Jakiyah Arianna Green, Jeramie Antuan Green, Jr., Jermaine Anthony Green, Jr., Nassir Grayson Jayvin Mitchell Quinn, DeShaun Mahlik-Ali Quinn, DreAuna Amya Quinn, Princeton Zaire Quinn, Pierre Zyon Quinn, Au' Zavius Zyndrick Quinn, his-in-laws, Cleora and Percy Magee of Flint, MI; his aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
