Gregory Darnell Moody departed this life on May 21, 2026, in Columbus, Mississippi. Born on June 6, 1985, in Columbus, MS, Gregory was the beloved son of Willie Hood, Sr. and Shirley Burr.

Gregory was a proud graduate of Columbus High School, where he earned his diploma in 2003. Throughout his life, he was a dedicated and hardworking individual, contributing his talents to Garden Hills Assisted Living, Sprint Mart, and Tronox.

He was preceded in death by his dear brothers, Fredreco Moody and Willie Hood, Jr., his sister, Angela Hood, his grandparents, John Moody, Jr. and Emma Trimble, his aunt, Catherine Spencer, and his cousin, Donovan Moody.

Gregory leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held by his devoted mother, Shirley Burr, and his father, Willie Hood, Sr.

He was a loving father to his children, Lance Norris of Junction City, KS, Makia Noland of Columbus, MS, Levell Molina of Junction City, KS, and Bella Moody of Columbus, MS. Gregory will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Eric Bryant, Erica Bryant, Shawn Wells, Shane Wells, and Sasha Wells, all of Columbus, MS, and Lashandra Malone of Montgomery, AL; his grandmother, Louise Moody of Columbus, MS and special friend, Tashika McQueen. He is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Gregory's kind spirit, warm smile, and loving heart will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
