Obituary

Gussie Scott Clark was February 24, 1934, in Columbus, MS to Charlie Cox and Bertha Scott. confessed Christ at an early age at Fifteenth Street Church. She was also married at Fifteenth Street Church to William Elbert Clark. They later moved to Washington for several years until her return to Mississippi.

Mrs. Clark was hard and dedicated worker for many years. She was employed with Sykes Cab, Doster Hospital, and lastly at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center until retirement.

Gussie departed this life on January 6, 2023 in Columbus, MS. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; William Elbert Clark; her son, William Elbert Clark, II: her siblings: Jeff Scott, Amy Cox, Ida Mae Sanders, Willie Mae Collins, and Carrie; and her grandchildren: William, Deanna, Eugene III and Ernest.

Gussie's memories will forever be cherished by: her sons: Ray A. Clark, Ricardo Clark,
Eugene (Lorine) Clark, Brenda (James) Davis, Cathy Clark, Ernest (Roda )Clark, Earlie Wilson Gordon, Modeska Hopkins, Tabitha (Lonnie) Koger, and John (Jennifer) Clark; her grandchildren: Solomon (Deonna), Daniel (Afryea), Leah, Ricardo, Jr., Tonya, April, Quila, Eugenia (Edwin), Eugene, Jr., Jason (Kenya), James, Jr., Tamika, Gussie, Felicia, Izola, Earlie, Jr., Thomas, William, Angelica, Ariel, Ernest, Jr., Gabrielle, C.J., Xavier, Ernest, Jr., Alonzo, Alexandria, Alaura, Anastacia, Paris, Camella, Derbella; her great-grandchildren: D'Hasia, Daniel, Jr., Daniella, Genesis, Esias, Rohin, Phylis, Terika, Ricardo III, Ciara, Jarcquarius, Isaiah, Darion, Deandria, Jaqualan, Jabari, Nesbitt, Amari, Mya, Kaden, Jaysia, Jason, Jr. Aleaxandria, Kaleb, R.J., Courtavien, Detavion, Jarvier, Junah, Cameron, Sakura, Nevaeh, Kimera, Makya, Leah, Nevaeh, Necole, Deshaun, Abigail, Bella, Catherine, Marlena, Saquan, Layla; her great-great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jaxton, Journii, Jarcquarius, Jr., Javion, Rosabella, Aurora, and Alyciana; her brother, Willie Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
