Mrs. Hattie Pearl Bush entered this world on May 9, 1932, in Noxubee County, MS to the parents of Willie Green Williams and Walter Clay. She was raised in Noxubee County and later moved to Columbus where she made it her home with her husband and eight children.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of the church she loved, Canaan M.B. Church, where she served for many years until her health began to fail. Hattie departed this life on July 1, 2024, peacefully in her sleep.
She worked many years at Stewart Nursery and later Airline Manufacture for 33 years. Hattie loved to visit with her friends, talking on her phone or in person, sitting on her front porch with her snuff in hand. She looked forward to every Sunday morning listening to Cleo Sanders. The highlight of her Sunday was Communion with her Pastor and Deacons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bush, her parents, four sons, James, Bobby, Billy, and David, one daughter, Willie Pearl Bush-Hawkins, two grandsons, Muriel R. Bush and Jeremy L. Tucker.
She leaves to behind to cherish her memories: Ollie Bush, Lartha Fulugham and Betty (D.L.) Lowery of Columbus, MS; Rosie Bush Tucker of Atlanta, GA; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; four bonus children, Billy, Maggie, Willie and Mary Stevens-Keys of St. Louis, MO. She also leaves behind three sisters-in-law; and a host of family, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
