Henry C." Bodie" Lockett, Sr. was born August 1, 1942 to Johnnie Earl and Hattie Jane Taylor Lockett. He confessed Christ an early age and attended Oak Grove M.B.Church. He was raised in Noxubee County.

He began his career at Boral Brick Yard in Macon, MS. He was employed 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Earl and Hattie Jane Taylor Lockett, Seven Brothers; Johhnie, Earnest, Ozzie, Charles, Eddie, Walter and Freddie Lockett and One Sister; Bessie Smith.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 62 years, Bobbie Ann Lockett of Macon, MS; two sons, Henry (Shameka) Lockett Jr. of Macon, MS and Anthony (Tako) Lockett of Weir, MS; two daughters, Windy (Bobby) Shields of Macon, MS and Janette (Bradford) Lockett of Columbus, MS; three brothers, Hugh and Bennie Lockett Both of Chicago, IL, Lovell Cunningham of Columbus, MS; and a first cousin whom he considered as a brother, Frank (Lorine) Lockett of Macon, MS; his grandchildren, Trico Bell, Krystal Outlaw, Christopher Lockett, Larry Malone, Jr., Jenecia Lockett, Aaron Boykin, Roderiques Lockett, Brandi May, Bobby May Jr., Jemarrus Bradford, Amberia Bradford, Travis Lockett, Kobe Lockett, Nakaiyla Lockett and Skylar Lockett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
